Museum of Nature and Science

Today we ventured into Dallas for fun and non-classroom-setting learning at the Museum of Nature and Science. We saw some really cool stuff and spent hours playing in the children's museum, which was right up Maddie and Finley's alley.

Maddie points out a T-Rex!

The girls got to dig for dinosaur bones in a giant sandbox.

The girls hang out with a woolly mammoth.

Finley loved the bubble-making area. Alex, not so much.

Fin looks psychotically happy about milking a fiberglass cow.

Oops!

Well, Mom, I'm afraid I have some bad news. I accidentally shrunk the short-sleeved turtleneck sweater you gave me for Christmas. Apparently I wasn't supposed to put it in the dryer. D'oh! But there is some good news! It now looks great on...

Boucoup Butterflies

Alex and I went to the Crow Collection of Asian Art in downtown Dallas this weekend. It was so cool! They had statues, tapestries, paintings and lots of other cool stuff (including these tiny, intricate snuff boxes). We took a couple photos, including this one of me in a hallway surrounded by origami butterflies! We're planning a trip to the "Living in Space" exhibit with the children next weekend, so I'll post photos after!
